Snow Angel

New base layers.  New helmet.  New cold weather gear.  It looks like you were on the receiving end this holiday.

And now you’re all geared up with nowhere to go.

Time to put your new gear to good use and hook up with Skiing magazine’s inaugural Skiing for Someone charity adventure series in support of Big City Mountaineers.

Sign up for a multi-day cat or heli-ski adventure in exotic locales like Valdez, Alaska, Lake Tahoe, California or Telluride, Colorado  (Rudy Mountains and Cascades are already full).  For a discounted rate (between $425 - $2,250, depending on location), you get to experience some of the best backcountry terrain in North America, while skiing/riding with one of the super talented athletes featured in Warren Miller movies and The North Face.  In addition to the incredible skiing/riding, you’ll also receive $1,200 worth of top notch gear from The North Face and Atomic.

In return, you cover your costs of participation (transportation, excursion costs, etc) and commit to raise a minimum of $2,500 US for Big City Mountaineers, a non-profit dedicated to mentoring disadvantaged inner-city kids through wilderness experiences.

All trips are scheduled for March and April 2007 and fundraising deadline is March 1, 2007.  Giving you a couple of months in a place that makes you feel really good.

Back at the giving end.
