The Gear Factor
For some people, it’s all about the baubles. Others can’t make it down Main Street without getting lured in by the swanky mannequins in the window. But you? It’s all about the gear. You duck into REI for a couple of energy bars but like a kid in a candy shop, you can’t help but get sucked in with this season’s latest and greatest...and the sales rack.
Unfortunately leaving you in a quandary when you return home with your cool purchase.
You really didn't need another tent.
Ease your buyer’s remorse and donate your old gear to Gear4Good. Part of the Mountain Fund, a non-profit dedicated to improving living standards within impoverished mountain communities, Gear4Good collects old gear and forwards it to those who really need it.
That tent will provide shelter for the Pakistan Women’s Climbing Camp, or your trail shoes will be appreciated by the porters in Nepal. And that off-road unicycle? Gear4Good can list it on their E-Bay charity site and use those proceeds to offset program costs like overseas shipping.
And until Labor Day, Osprey Packs will stoke your gearhead tendencies. Donate a usable backpack and receive 10% off your purchase of an Osprey pack.
Keeping you geared up with good intentions.
