Enjoy the a flat tree-lined course that runs along the perimeter of the Fresh Pond Reservoir. Proceeds to benefit the Friends of Cambridge Athletics & The Andrea Harvey Memorial Fund.

April 12, 2008 - XTERRA Merrimack River 10 Mile Trail Run
A great intro to trail races, enjoy a scenic out-and-back course along the Merrimack River, that's relatively flat with good footing but with a few steep hills, brook crossings and other obstacles thrown in for good measure.

April 13, 2008 - 15th Annual Angino Memorial Road Race and Family Field Day
Hosted by the West Suburban YMCA, a fun-filled day for the whole family including a 3 mile run, an appearance by the Big Apple Circus Circus to Go! Clowns and a great after-party. There's also free babysitting while you race.
Time: 10:00 AM: Family events start; 12 PM: 3 mile run

May 3, 2008 - Bike MS: Ride The Vineyard 2008
The Central New England Chapter of the National MS Society kicks off the cycling season with Ride the Vineyard. With the quaint charm and beautiful ocean views of Martha’s Vineyard, cyclists can choose from 25K, 50K or 100K routes.
Time: 9 AM (100 KM); 10 AM (50 KM); 12 PM (25 KM)

April 22, 29, and May 6, 13, 20 - Beginner Hiking/Backpacking Program
Ever wanted to try hiking or backpacking and didn't know where to get started? Are you rusty and want to brush up on your knowledge and skills? If so, then you may want to consider AMC Boston's Hiking/Backpacking Committee's Annual 3-Season Hiking Program. The program will include a series of lectures, demonstrations and guided hikes designed to increase and facilitate the safe enjoyment of the outdoors.
During the program participants are also given a choice of day hikes, weekend trips, backpacks to practice new skills

Master the roll in a safe environment (i.e indoor pool) with experienced instructors who will lead you through a series of steps designed to build confidence and make rolling as easy as possible. Working on the roll will also improve your bracing skills and allow you to have more fun on the water. Classes are designed for paddlers who have never attempted rolling and for those who have done some work with the roll and are still not there.
