August 24, 2008: 26th Annual Reston Century
Join 1500 other cyclists for one of the most popular cycling events of the summer. Organized by the Reston Bike Club, they're predicting that this year is going to be the best year ever! Rides are self-paced and self-directed via cue sheets and route signage. And riders will be fully supported with rest stops and food, bike mechanics, SAG vehicles and an awesome post-race party.

Spin your wheels to stop cancer in its tracks. Ride for two miles or more than 300 - or just come out to hang. 24 Hours of Booty is the nation's only 24-hour charity cycling ride, supporting the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. August 9, 2008: Doyles River Trail
Join the Northern Virginia Hiking Club for a moderately paced hike in Shenandoah National Park. See waterfalls along Doyles River and Jones Run and take a step back in time when you visit Browns Gap, which General Stonewall Jackson's troops used during the Civil War's Valley Campaign to make raids into the Shenandoah Mountains.
