Presented by the Arlington Cooperation Foundation (ACF), this first ever race takes place on the flat and scenic Washington & Old Dominion Trail, one of the nation's best-known rails-to-trails parks.

August 4, 2007 - The North Face Endurance Challenge
Test your stamina as The North Face Endurance Challenges kicks off its national series in Washington DC. Runners of all levels will enjoy the scenic course that follows the Potomac River. Celebrate your efforts and stick around for the Finish Line Festival, a fun family event that features live music, food, refreshments, free swag and raffles for awesome prizes.

Join the Capital Hiking Club for a scenic hike in Shenandoah National Park. Cool off with a refreshing dip in one of the park's best swimming holes. Hikers get to choose between two hikes of different lengths.

Professionals in the City has teamed up with an outdoor adventure school company for a three mile leisurely canoe adventure down the Shenandoah River. Canoe, paddles, life vests, maps, shuttle service, and basic riverside instruction are all included.
