Named for Patrick Henry, the famous revolutionary who famously said "Give me liberty, or give me death".  Located 15 minutes north of Richmond, this inaugural 13.1-mile race traverses both rolling countryside and Ashland’s scenic railroad district.

Join the BBSSU (Brother to Brother Sister to Sister United) for their annual cycling event that covers nearly 70 miles of scenic back roads and rolling hills between College Park and Baltimore. Proceeds to support the fight against AIDS/HIV in the greater DC area.
Distance:  70 miles

Paint Branch Community Park, College Park to Hill Park, Baltimore and then return to College Park.

$50 pre-registration plus minimum donation/pledge of $100

August 25, 2007 -  Hike with your dog at Greenbelt Park
Take your four-legged friend and join K9 Trailblazers for a comfortable hike around the perimeter of Greenbelt Park. Travel along wooded trails, through meadows, and over a few "Indiana Jones" bridges (some stream crossings over bridges with broken/rotted planks).  Sign up soon - space is limited to 12 people plus dogs.

Help keep Mother Nature looking her best and volunteer a long weekend to help build and repair the Appalachian Trail.  Shelter, food, tools, safety equipment are provided while volunteers are responsible for own basic camping gear, work clothing, sturdy boots, and 5 day supply of fudge.
