September 15, 2007 - New Orleans Rebirth 5k Run, Walk and Festival
Join us for the third running of this important event that has raised over $138,000 for New Orleans and Gulf Coast relief and recovery efforts! Local partner organizations and neighborhood association representatives from the New Orleans area will attend to display information about their organizations and talk with attendees about their efforts on the ground. Come and declare your support for the rebuilding of this unique city.

October 14, 2007 - Fleet Week Half Marathon
Runners will enjoy the sites and sounds of the World’s Largest Naval Base including an up-close view of the Atlantic Fleet Ships and Admiral’s Row.  This is a flat, fast USTAF certified course.  DJs will provide entertainment along the course. A children’s area will be available with inflatables, games and face painters free of charge.

September 15 & 16, 2007 - Heart of VA Bike Festival
There are several routes to choose from on both days. Starts are all "show and go". On Saturday, a 62 mile Metric Century and a 100 mile English Century grand tour of Hanover County are offered. On Sunday, a 25 mile ride to Coatesville, the Lake Anna 62 mile Metric century, and a 40 mile Historic ride are offered.

September, 30, 2007 - She Got Bike! A Festival of Women's Cycling
A large women-only bike ride with a full day of fun and activities in celebration of women’s cycling. She Got Bike! features five rides for women of all abilities. All rides are on mixed terrain – flat, rolling and hilly – challenging, but fun and doable even for beginners. Then, enjoy a women’s-specific cycling expo, fashion show, yoga class and more. The rides are for women cyclists of all abilities and this year’s event includes 14, 25, 46 and 62 mile options. Rides are for women; festival is open to all.

Dove's Landing is a 235-acre undeveloped property with one mile of frontage along the Occoquan River, upstream from Lake Jackson. The gently sloping landscape, open forest and scenic appearance create inviting and accessible conditions for all ages. Dove's Landing is a high quality site for walking in the woods on natural trails, wildlife watching and other passive recreation opportunities.

September 15, 2007 - The 15th Annual Wye Island Regatta
The 12.5 mile race starts at Wye Landing on the Wye East River, 18 miles southeast of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on Maryland's Eastern Shore and continues around Wye Island. The course is over sheltered estuaries with minimum boat traffic and great scenery. Open to all person-powered boats, including shells (sweep/ scull, racing/ recreational) canoes, outriggers, kayaks, gigs, dories, etc.

September 15, 2007 - The Fredericksburg Off-Road Duathlon (F.O.R.D.) Series (#3 of a three-part series)
Participate in the last of this year's Fredericksburg Off-Road Duathlons (F.O.R.D.s) racing series where the focus is on friendly, fun competition. Both Beginner (two 1.1 mile runs split by a 6 mile mtn bike) and Advanced Team (Two 2.3 runs split by a 12 mile mtn bike) options are available. Perks include a post race barbeque while hanging out on "the beach" of the Rappahannock River!
