Bike in a Nutshell

August 20, 2007

Dear Biker Girl,

Your faithful two-wheeler here. Listen, I’m thrilled that you take me everywhere, whether it’s tooling around the city or flying me across the country for an epic adventure.

The thing is, I’m feeling a little vulnerable these days. Those airport people aren’t as gentle as they used to be. It’s one thing to be knocked around the trails but it’s really embarrassing when my bits and pieces are exposed on the baggage carousel.

I think it’s time for a little tough love; preferably in the form of a durable bike case from Tri All 3 Sports. Constructed of top-notch materials, these travel cases are like safety vaults for road, tri and mountain bikes alike. Super convenient, only the minimal amount of disassembly and reassembly are required before you’re all saddled up. In many models, seat, pedals and aero bars stay intact while only the wheels needed to be remounted.

And as a chronic overpacker, you’ll appreciate the extra space that can accommodate your helmet, bike shoes, clothes, wetsuit, etc.

Costing around $500, Tri All 3 Sport cases are not inexpensive, though local bike shops and clubs may offer them for rent.

Either way, it will keep me rolling.
